Extra Curricular Activities
Apart from the academic courses our students and staff are involved in various co-curricular and extra-curricular activities viz. NSS, Career Guidance Cell, Women’s Cell, Sports and Games and cultural activities.
  1. NSS  At present the college has one unit of 100 students consisting of both girls and boys. These cadets are expected to participate in five one day camps and a seven day camp. The aim of creating such service scheme is to spread awareness and instilling the values of social service and welfare amidst students. During these camps students reach out to the less privileged and destitute and address issues of great social and environmental concerns. They in this manner also learn the importance of team building  , character formation and service.
  2. CAREER COUNSELING CELL- The objective of establishing such career cell under the aegis of UGC is to help students in the choice of right career options available to them in their formative years. Last year the cell organized workshops on self employment and opportunities in insurance
  3. CULTURAL COMMITTEE- The cultural committee not only aims at the entertainment of the students but also , to enlighten and motivate them through various programs. Hence, one act plays, seminars, debates, quizzes, eloquence, extempore contests , workshops on department and inter department basis are held periodically.
  4. SPORTS AND GAMES- Sports and games are part of college life. Every year annual sports day is organized to celebrate and acknowledge the achievers in the various sports events. Students are expected to practice daily so that this momentum of winning is maintained.
  5. WOMEN’S CELL- Women’s representation is almost half in the college so they need a special cell which safeguards their interests and keeps them in the main stream. As most of the college students hail rom rural background there is a need to keep them abreast o the current developments and procedures happening in the society. Hence this cell .
  6. Red Ribbon Club-  Red Ribbon Club has been established in the college to spread awareness about AIDS which by general acceptance is a threat to human health and survival. Twenty students of the college are selected for this purpose out of which one girl and one boy lead as the Peer Educator.
  7. UGC NET/SLET COACHING CENTRE- The college facilitates NET/SLET Coaching or post graduate students of SC ,ST, OBC categories and also to minority communities which particularly belong to non-creamy layer. The admission of general candidates shall be done on account of availability.
